BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Sattler Theatre on Buffalo's East Side may be dark and disheveled now, but it has the potential to be great once again after 99 years of history.
Movies and performances were once shown in the historic theatre, which was most popular in the early to mid 1900s.
All these years later, the theatre has fallen into disrepair due to owners who neglected the space.
In 2008, it was bought by the WNY Minority Media, which saved it from demolition.
The group says it needs about $7 million to restore the theatre, and they need the public's help. You can find more information at www.thebroadwaytheatre.net.
