MAYVILLE, N.Y. - The defense has completed their closing arguments today in the Anthony Taglianetti murder trial.

It is now the prosecution's turn.

Taglianetti is accused of killing Clymer Schools superintendent Keith Reed, Jr. in September 2012 after learning of an alleged affair between Reed and his wife.

The defense's closing arguments last nearly two hours. The defense attorney told the jury that "Rob Taglianetti did not murder Keith Reed Jr."

Several of Keith Reed's family members have packed the courtroom Friday.

Over the past three weeks jurors heard from more than 40 prosecution witnesses, but only two people took the stand for the defense.

The two defense witnesses were members of law enforcement and part of the Chautauqua County forensic team at the time of the Reed murder investigation.

Their testimony was mainly about the pictures they took inside and outside of Reed's home and the numerous handguns and long guns that were found in the house.

Prosecution witnesses included Taglianetti's wife, Mary, who detailed her relationship with Reed and read aloud graphic sexual emails the pair exchanged.
