In her time covering the major stories that have touched the lives of Western New Yorkers, like the search for Ralph "Bucky" Phillips, the Surprise October Storm, the arrest and conviction of the Bikepath Rapist, the Crash of Flight 3407 , and the City Grill murders, Melissa earned a New York State Emmy for her morning reporting coverage during one of Western New York's wild windstorms. Jennifer Stanonis is our newest member of Storm Team 2. She is the weekend evening meteorologist. Jennifer is a Northern California native who now calls Buffalo her home. Jennifer started forecasting on Buffalo television in 2005. She has covered most severe weather events here since, from the studio anchoring and out in the field reporting. These include the Cheektowaga tornado of 2005, the October Snowstorm of 2006, numerous tornado outbreaks, and damaging snow and wind events.

Emmy-winning reporter Aaron Saykin has dusted off his red coat for a second tour of duty at Channel 2 in July of 2009.  
Born and raised in Western Massachusetts, Saykin first came to Buffalo after working in several television markets, including Springfield, MA and Wilmington, NC.
