Prepare to enjoy the majestic power and beauty of the Niagara and Horseshoe Falls from the air with one of the most breathtaking tours Western New York has to offer! Proudly serving WNY since 1995, Rainbow Air's quiet turbine engine helicopters will provide you with the most unique experience to view the falls.
Rainbow Air's heliport is conveniently located next to Howard Johnson's and the entrance to the Rainbow Bridge in downtown Niagara Falls. The close proximity of our helideck to the falls provides our passengers the unique experience of viewing the Niagara and Horseshoe Falls. Your tour will include a view of the Rainbow Bridge, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Goat Island, Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, Queen Victoria Park, Clifton Hill, and the American Observation Tower, just to name a few. You will be mesmerized as you observe the wide sprawling Upper Niagara River gently descending towards the rushing rapids before it separates and surrounds Goat Island and the Three Sister Islands. As the water continues downstream and cascades over the brink of the powerful Niagara and Horseshoe Falls, a radiant rainbow is guaranteed on any sunny day!
On an extended tour, we travel north following the Lower Niagara River over the World Class 5 Rapids. You will follow the water downstream to the natural Whirlpool and Spanish Aero Car crossing over head. Continuing downstream, you will view two of the world's largest Hydro- Electric power plants, The New York Power Authority Niagara Project, along with The Ontario Hydro Sir Adam Beck Power Plant. The tour continues with a fly over of the Village of Lewiston and Artpark. As the winding river widens you will see Fort Henry and Fort Niagara where the Niagara River empties into Lake Ontario, which offers some of the best Lake Trout, Salmon and Walleye fishing anywhere!
