Kids That Eat Salty Foods Drink More Sugary Beverages

The more kids eat salty foods... the more sugary drinks they'll consume to wash it down.

That's according to a new study that tracked the dietary habits of more than 4-thousand kids in Australia between the ages of 2 and 16.

A diet high in sodium led to more consumption of sodas and other sugar-sweetened beverages.

The children who had more than one of those drinks each day were 26-percent more likely to be overweight.
