BUFFALO, NY- After checking holiday gifts off their lists and finding steals and deals, Black Friday shoppers are finally able to rest. But for those who avoided the lines and the chaos, the holiday shopping season is really just beginning.
Our Ways 2 Save money man Matt Granite says there are still deals to be had, beginning with Cyber Monday and the following Tuesday.
"Then when we get into the sort of Christmas/Hanukkah rush. About a week before the big days for either respective holiday, prices drop all over the place, so it's not all over yet," Granite says.
Cyber Monday used to be all hype, but not anymore.
Brad Wilson from BradsDeals.com says Cyber Monday is his favorite day to shop. He says free shipping is the rule at this point, and online shoppers should always look for a coupon or promotion code.
"We found that the average BradsDeals shopper takes 88 seconds to save $24 on their purchase when they're going to look for a coupon code, so you can't beat that," said Wilson.
Still writing out your list? Granite says the must-have toys this year include some very familiar names including Barbie, Lego, Furby, and the Razor Scooter. Wilson adds the LeapPad 2 and Monster High.
Hot holiday gifts in general? Electonics including laptops and TVs, Apple products, especially the iPhone, iPad and iPad mini, and other reasonably priced tablets as well.
"If you can get a really strong Android tablet for under $200 easily, that's a real game changer. It makes it accessible for anybody for a holiday gift," said Wilson.
Matt says the best deals on TVs and laptops were on Black Friday, so if you can hold off on buying them, you should.
"That'll drop late January/early February. If you didn't do well Black Friday/Cyber Monday with the electronics, you can unfortunately knock that category off," said Granite
Granite says macmall.com is a great place to find refurbished Apple products. He also recommends checking out cheapcheapcheap.com and offers.com on Cyber Monday, in addition to wgrz.com.
