JAMESTOWN, N.Y.- Barbara Case, a volunteer with the Jamestown Audubon Center and Sanctuary has been raising Monarch Butterflies for the past several years for the Center's annual Monarch Butterfly Festival.

It's an effort that takes time and patience, but it pays off; Case estimates about 220 of her butterflies survive out of about 250 eggs.  She says in the wild, usually only 2 or 3 out of 100 survive.

If you're interested in attending the festival, it runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, August 27th at 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, NY.
