Motorcycle Accident in Buffalo

BUFFALO, NY - Buffalo Police are continuing to look into a serious motorcycle accident at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and W. Utica Street.

The accident happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

Accident investigators say a motorcycle and another vehicle collided at the intersection causing the vehicle to then hit a fire hydrant and light pole. 

Investigators say the 36-year-old female driver, who's name has not been released, fled the scene on foot, but was caught a short time later thanks to witnesses who provided key information. 

Charges are pending against the driver. 

The motorcyclist, 51-year-old Jeffrey Stanton of the Town of Tonawanda, was taken to ECMC with head and facial injuries. He's currently in the trauma ICU.
