LOCKPORT, N.Y. - The Salvation Army received a major donation to their red kettle drive Thursday from a Christmas angel.
The man did not leave his name, but he dropped off a huge jug full of money.
The director of the Lockport Salvation Army, Maj. John Wheeler, said that support will make a difference.
"That type of support is so hugely helpful to us," said Wheeler. "I don't think the general public understands exactly what the Salvation Army does, how tight our budgets are, and how much we need this type of support."
The jug contained $1400, which is more than all their community kettles collect on the busiest of days.
