BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 1, 2013) -The Sabres announced Friday that they have called up winger Brian Flynn from Rochester of the AHL.

The team has put defenseman Jordan Leopold on injured reserve and that opened the roster spot for Flynn.

Flynn joins the Sabres on his first career recall after signing with the Sabres on March 29, 2012. In 45 games for the Americans this season, the Lynnfield, Mass. native has recorded 32 points (16+16), tying to lead all Rochester skaters in goals and ranking 10th among all AHL rookies in both goals and points.

The Sabres are home Saturday afternoon against the New Jersey Devils. Faceoff is scheduled for 3-pm.
