BUFFALO, N.Y. - More than 400 people kicked off their Saturday with a race up 38 floors of the HSBC Tower.
The Fight for Air Climb raises money and awareness for the American Lung Association.
This year organizers hope to raise $100,000 to help in the fight for clean air and healthy lungs.
Firefighters from across Western New York, including teams from West Seneca and Depew, climbed up nearly 900 stairs in full gear, which weighs anywhere from 50 to 70 pounds.
