BUFFALO, N.Y.-Buffalo's Steven Means was outside playing catch with his younger brother when he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Its a day he has been dreaming of since he was four and a half years old.

Means told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "I remember looking at the TV and my dad was watching a game and I told him, dad, I'm going to play in the NFL. I'm going to be on TV. He told me he was going to do everything he can to get me in the best shape to play. He's been a man of his word ever since."

Means played defensive end at the University of Buffalo. He started for most of his four seasons with the Bulls and is viewed as a possible end or outside linebacker in the NFL. Tampa is likely to use him wherever they think he can utilitze the edge rushing skills that got him 18.5 career sacks for the Bills. Means told Stu he'll do whatever it takes to fit in with the Bucs. "Wherever they need me to. I'm going to do whatever I can. Special teams, linebacker, if they need me to snap the ball and play center I'll do whatever I gotta do."

Means said after UB's pro day earlier this year he really knew he had a chance to be drafted. In his bedroom he had created his own draft board.  As many as 19 teams had contacted him including the Colts and the Ravens. He put written communication from the teams that contacted him on his draft board.

Steven Means Senior told Stu "this is a real great day for the family. This is a dream of his since he was five years old. I'm elated. I started crying. They call me the crybaby but I'm the emotional one." Steven's mom Gwen told Stu "its something we've been anticipating but now that its happened its unreal but its great, its a wonderful feeling. Finally, he's getting exactly what he deserves. Recognition."

Means starred in high school at Grover Cleveland. He joins another city high school football standout, Mike Williams with the Buccaneers. Means played against Williams once with Grover when Williams was at Riverside.
