People gathered to watch as a 30-story apartment tower was demolished in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday.

The Red Rose Apartment buildings were built in the sixties and were once the highest in Europe.

One of the tower blocks was brought down by a controlled explosion on Sunday to make room for a Glasgow Regeneration Project.

Months of planning went into making sure there was no unintended damage when the tower was demolished.
