Niagara Falls Teen Dies in Crash on Walmore Road

 LEWISTON, NY - A Niagara Falls teenager died in a one-vehicle accident last night in the Town of Lewiston, according to a statement from the New York State Police.

A 2009 Mazda driven by Taylor J. Clause, 18, of Walmore Road in Lewiston, was traveling north on Walmore Road early Sunday morning when it failed to negotiate a curve. The car went off the road, struck a utility pole and rolled several times, police said.

Jasmin P. Dubuc, 19, of Cayuga Drive in Niagara Falls, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained extensive trauma. He died at the scene. Clause, the driver, was also ejected from the car and suffered extensive trauma. He was transported by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center.

Jasmine A. Rickard, 18, of Upper Mountain Road in Sanborn, the third occupant of the vehicle, was also injured and taken to ECMC by Mercy Flight. She was treated and discharged.

None of the teens were wearing seatbelts.
