( - A walk-off single by Durham's Tim Beckham blew the Bison's three-run lead heading into the ninth inning as Buffalo dropped its second game in a row, 9-8.

The Herd got down early in the first inning again against the Bulls, only this time it was not as difficult to come back from.

Center fielder Moises Sierra tied the game at three in the third inning with his second home run in as many games. It was his fifth home run of the season.

Buffalo took the lead for the first time in the game in the fourth inning. Right fielder Ryan Langerhans singled and after a wild pitch sent him to second base, shortstop Ryan Goin's sacrifice-bunt advanced Langerhans to third. Second baseman Mike McCoy doubled to right to give the Bisons a 4-3 lead.

In the fifth inning, Ricardo Nanita increased the Bisons lead to 5-3 after his single scored first baseman Luis Jimenez, who had a single of his own to lead off the inning.

After the Bulls closed the gap to 5-4 in the fifth, the Bisons added to their lead in the sixth.

The bases were loaded after a Goins double and Durham reliever Will Inman walked McCoy and hit Sierra. Jimenez hit a sac-fly to right field to score Goins, and after two more walks scored two runs, Buffalo was up 7-4 heading into the bottom of the sixth.

Langerhans hit his ninth home run of the season to lead off the seventh, giving Buffalo an 8-4 lead.

The Bulls cut the Bisons lead to 8-6 in the seventh on a two-run home run by Will Myers.

Everything was going well for veteran Bisons reliever Buddy Carlyle, who came into the game for Michael Schwimer in the eighth inning with no outs and got the Bisons out of the inning unscathed.

But, with one out in the bottom of the ninth, Myers hit his second home run of the night to tie the game at eight and a few batter later, Beckham ended it. Myers finished the game 2-for-5 with four RBI's along with the two home runs.

Starter Justin Germano threw seven innings for the Herd, striking out five while allowing 11 hits and six earned runs.
