HAMBURG, N.Y. - Thousands will participate in this weekend's Ride for Roswell, including a Hamburg woman who is riding in celebration of her improving health and to support other survivors.
Kelli Suchan's family and friends rallied around her following her cancer diagnosis in March 2012.
She underwent weeks of chemotherapy and radiation to beat lymphoma, and now she wants to give back to Roswell Park where she received her treatment.
"I just always knew I was going to get through this. At the time it seemed like such a long journey, but now looking back it's hard to even fathom I had cancer cause I feel so good," said Suchan.
Suchan and her husband are participating in the 20-mile ride as part of the Ride for Roswell this Saturday.
She raised $1000, which will go toward cancer prevention and research, as well as patient programs at Roswell Park.
The Ride for Roswell is sold out, but plenty of volunteers are still needed.
