EDEN, N.Y. -- Eve Ogrodniczak should be at her home in Eden, but instead she's stuck 4,000 miles away after a problem with her plane ticket home.

Eve left for Poland in May, and her Lufthansa flight from Toronto to Europe went smoothly. But when she went back to the airport in Berlin to fly home, she was told her ticket was canceled.

"I was shocked," Eve said.

The Lufthansa worker eventually told her the ticket had been flagged as a "potential fraud" and that she would have to purchase a new ticket. That would have been thousands and thousands of dollars.

Other than that, Eve says she received no help.

"I was stranded," she said. "They showed total disregard for my safety and my well-being."

Eve ended up taking a bus back to Poland to stay with the family she had been visiting. Six days later, she's still there.

2 On Your Side first contacted Lufthansa Monday. A team of people appear to be working on this case, but as of Tuesday evening, there is still no resolution. We're told the time difference has delayed a resolution.

The airline has not admitted it did anything wrong, and we're waiting on an explanation as to what happened and what happens next.

Eve says she contacted her credit card company and was told there is no fraud and that the payment to Lufthansa was properly processed.

"I have absolutely no faith in anybody taking care of me and helping me out," she said.

2 On Your Side will stay on top of this story and have an update from Lufthansa on Wednesday.
