(bisons.com)- Mauro Gomez made sure the Buffalo Bisons' recent roll continued on Friday night.

The righty drove in all the Herd's runs in a 4-2 win against the Toledo Mud Hens in the series opener of a four-game set at Fifth Third Field for its fourth consecutive win. It took Gomez just two at-bats to do his damage. He gave the contest a score with a double to left that scored Thursday's hero, Moises Sierra.

His next time up, in the third inning, Gomez did what he has done more than anyone in the International League this season, hit a home run. Kevin Pillar and Anthony Gose hit back-to-back one-out singles and with two outs, Gomez provided the game-winning shot.

A 2-2 offering from Ramon Garcia was hit over the center-field fence for Gomez's league-leading 28th homer, a three-run blast to give Buffalo a 4-0 edge.

That was plenty of supports for Chien-Ming Wang, who tossed 4 1/3 innings before allowing a hit. In his fourth start for the Bisons, he was terrific over seven innings, allowing just two runs in the sixth. The right-hander threw 63 of his 98 pitches for strikes, fanned three and issued only one walk.

The Mud Hens must have been relieved when Wang exited because they threatened to tie the game when he exited.

In the eighth, Toledo got runners on the corners with one out on a Gustavo Nunez walk followed by an Avisail Garcia single. It then loaded the bases with two outs on a walk by Nick Castellanos. That's when Jeremy Jeffress was replaced on the mound by Buddy Carlyle.

Faced with no easy task of facing the Mud Hen's RBI leader in Danny Dorn, Carlyle did his job and got Dorn to foul out to right and earn the hold.

Neil Wagner finished the job in the ninth, pitching around a one-out single to pick up his 15th save in as many opportunities.
