The holidays are over, and it's time to take down our trees. You can still get some use out of our trees on the outside.
Cut off all the branches, take off all the tinsel, and you can use those branches as mulch around roses or tender perennials.
The other thing is, birds need habitats, especially because we lost so many trees during the October storm.
You might just want to take the tree and stick it in your backyard and let the birds use it as a house through the winter, or again you could cut off the branches and use those as a wild life habitat.
Or take the tree to your town, have it recycled and you'll have some free mulch next year.
