Here's a question for you: Should a former Playboy model be allowed to teach school? Right now, the answer for Cristy Nicole Deweese, is no.
Spanish teacher Miss Deweese, 21, was fired from her teaching job at a Dallas-area magnet school last week, according to the Dallas Observer. The reason? Parents of her students complained about Deweese's modeling.
She modeled as a Playboy cybergirl a few years ago, and was Coed of the Month in 2011. But Deweese had aspirations of becoming a teacher even while she was modeling.
Now it looks like Deweese is out of teaching. There are Facebook groups supporting her, and students at the school have been tweeting about missing their teacher. The Twitter handle @CristyNicoleMDL has not been verified, but seems to be Deweese's account. One post retweets a student: "We tried our best to keep the BEST Spanish teacher ever!!" It has a photo with a poster that says sign the petition to save Ms. Deweese.
Deweese has tweeted to sad students, "If I could come back I would," and there are posts about her moving away from Texas, and tweets that she signed a contract to not do any interviews until Nov. 8. Deweese's modeling page says that she quit modeling to pursue teaching, but now she's back to modeling.
