(bisons.com)-The International League's top hitting club was at it again on Saturday night and they used the long ball to win this one.

The Bisons launched five home runs to rally past the Bats, 10-7, at Louisville Slugger Field. A pair of the longballs came in a five-run fifth inning as the Herd won its 13th road game in just 16 contests away from Coca-Cola Field.

Already the league-leader in home runs, Buffalo has now clubbed 42 home runs in just 34 games. On Saturday, the home run-ball accounted for nine of the Bisons 10 runs on the night.

Luis Jimenez hit his team-leading eight home run of the season in the first inning to give Buffalo an early 2-0 lead. But Louisville came right back and took a 6-3 lead into the fifth inning. That's when the Herd really took aim at the outfield wall.

Moises Sierra went opposite field in the fifth inning for a two-run shot that closed the deficit to one. Buffalo kept the rally going as Jimenez drew a walk and Josh Thole picked up one of his three hits on the night. Andy LaRoche followed by wrapping a Chad Reineke pitch around the foul pole down the left field line for a three-run shot.

Now with the lead, the Herd never looked back. Mauro Gomez went deep for the second straight night with a solo home run in the eighth inning and Ryan Goins added even more insurance with his first round-tripper of the year in the ninth.

The Bisons once again got great work from their bullpen. Bobby Korecky improved to 3-0 on the year by allowing just a solo run in 2.1 innings of work. Juan Perez struck out four in 2.2 frames for his third save of the season.

Ricky Romero made his Bisons debut and allowed six runs on 10 singles and five walks in 3.2 innings of work.

The series continues with a single game Sunday afternoon in Louisville. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 pm.
