Janet Snyder interviews Henry Raess from Go Bike Buffalo and Moira Giammaresi from the Community relations Department of BlueCross BlueShield of WNY.  they discuss the partnership for a healthier America that started in the summer of 2012 called play Streets program.  This is designed to target the growing obesity trends and lack fo physical activity among youth.

Play Streets takes place the first Sunday of each Month from May to September.  Select city streets will be closed to cars and opened up to the community to get together, get active, and have fun!  Play streets will create a safe, accessible space for people to walk, ride bikes, dance, play sports, and games... plus eat healthy food!

Play Streets Schedule:
May 5 - Buffalo Promise Neighborhood (Manhattan Ave., Mercer Ave., and Hill St.)

June 2- Hamlin Park

July 7 - Seneca/Babcock

August 4 - Allentown

September 1 - West Side (Rees St./Buffalo State/Richardson Complex)
