BUFFALO, NY-- A young West Seneca man who admitted he shot and wounded a Buffalo Police officer during a chase is headed to prison for almost a decade.
Jeffrey Thomas was being chased on Eldon Road back in May by the officer when Thomas' gun fired. The shot hit Officer Joseph Hassett in the leg.
The 22-year-old was sentenced Friday to seven and half years behind bars and five years probation on the weapons charge and seven years on an assault charge. Both sentences to be served concurrently.
