Buffalo, NY -- Here is an update on how the summer has been with rainfall and temperatures now that August is almost over.
I used raw temperature and rain data for the meteorological summer months of June, July, and August in Buffalo to calculate some stats.
I found about 48% of the days this summer so far have been below average with temperatures. Also 48% of the days have had rain.
When you break down the months, July was the warmest and August is still the coolest (so far). June was the wettest.
63% of the days in August so far have had temperatures below average. 29% of the days have had rain.
32% of the days in July had temperatures below average. 55% of the days have had rain.
53% of the days in June had temperatures below average. 57% of the days have had rain.
So overall just less than half the summer we have had below average temperatures and rainy days.
