WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.- Paced by Williamsville South junior quarterback Sam Castronova, the Billies rumbled by crosstown rival Williamsville North, 32-6.
Will. North broke through first with an early touchdown, but Will. South answered back in a big way.
Castronova led the Billies downfield late in the first quarter, connecting with Kevin Mason for a big gain. The drive was capped by a Castronova 14-yard QB-keeper up the middle to tie the game.
Castronova completed 11 of 24 for 214 yards and three touchdowns. All three scores went to Cam Varner (17, 78 and 10 yards). Varner also had a 1-yard TD run.
South rang up 349 yards of total offense and scored 32 unanswered to improve to 2-0. North falls to 0-2.
South takes on Riverside at home next weekend.
