While many men complain their wives constantly nag them about their health -- a new study suggests it could be a blessing in disguise.

A study published in the Canadian Medical Association Journal finds married men experiencing chest pain went to the hospital a half hour earlier than single men.

Seventy-five percent of married men went within six hours -- compared to under seventy percent of single, divorced or widowed men.

Studies show a delay in medical care during a heart attack could lead to significant damage.

Researchers looked at data collected from nearly forty-five hundred adults who had suffered heart attacks.

The study did not find a benefit for married women.
