There's evidence exercise may help lower rates of cognitive impairment.

Two new studies link long-term physical activity with a decreased risk for thinking and memory problems.

While more research is needed to confirm these findings... doctors say it appears a brisk, 30-minute walk every day may be enough to make a difference.

2,809 women were followed for about 5 and a half years for the first study. 197 participants were included in the second study. Average age 75 years.
