PERRY, NY - A Churchville man faces charges today for allegedly stealing a Wyoming County Sheriff's patrol car.
Deputies say a Wyoming County deputy was parked at the Arrow Mart in the Village of Perry and out speaking with village police officers early Thursday morning.
While the deputy was speaking to the officers, Jordan J. Herthum, 22, allegedly stole the vehicle.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle through an onboard GPS system that is in all Wyoming County patrol vehicles.
The deputy's patrol vehicle was located a short distance away in the Town of Perry.
Herthum was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated with a .20% BAC, Aggravated DWI, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st, Grand Larceny and Criminal Mischief.
Herthum was arraigned by Village of Perry Justice Miller and committed to the Wyoming County Jail on $20,000.00 bail.
Herthum's next court date is October 10th.
