Those of us who need a lot of coffee to jump start the day ... may be at an increased risk of developing glaucoma.
Harvard University researchers found drinking three or more cups of caffeinated coffee a day ... was associated with a 66-percent higher risk of exfoliation glaucoma when compared to people who don't drink coffee.
Women with a family history of the eye condition were also at an increased risk.
There was no such link with caffeinated sodas, teas or even chocolate.
Researchers stress these results are preliminary and more studies are needed to see how strong this correlation is.
