BUFFALO, N.Y. - Interim Buffalo Sabres head coach Ron Rolston told reporters on Monday that he is taking a hands on approach with his new players as they head into a two game road trip that starts Tuesday in Tampa.

"A lot of education, teaching - hockey school type of things," Rolston said about they types of practices he has held with the Sabres since taking over for former head coach Lindy Ruff. "They are trying to get to know you and I am still trying to get to know them."

The Sabres have yet to win with Rolston behind the bench. On Saturday, they lost their second game since Rolston took over. The Islanders defeated the Sabres 4-0 at First Niagara Center.

Defenseman Alex Sulzer will not make the trip to Florida for Tuesday's game against the Tamp Bay Lightning. He was injured on Saturday. Rolston did not have an update on his condition but said the team recalled Defenseman Adam Pardy from Rochester.
