NEW YORK CITY, NY -- A son-in-law of Osama bin Laden has pleaded not guilty to charges of plotting to kill Americans.
Sulaiman Abu Ghaith was captured earlier this week in Jordan, according to U.S. officials. He was arraigned in federal court Friday morning in New York City.
Officials say Congress was notified when Ghaith was taken into custody. But some republicans say the decision to bring the Al-Qaeda spokesman to court, rather than take him to Guantanamo Bay, was a mistake.
