ELLICOTT, NY - A teacher's aide has been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child after she allegedly sprayed a student in the face with a cleaning solution.
The Ellicott Police Department says Terry L. Kemp, 50, of Jamestown is a teacher's aide with Southwestern Elementary School.
Kemp was cleaning tables in the school's cafeteria Tuesday when the incident happened.
At some point, it is alleged that Kemp sprayed a 5-year-old boy in the face with a cleaning solution. The solution got into the boy's eyes.
The student was checked out by the school nurse and was said to be okay.
Kemp was released with an appearance ticket and is to be in Ellicott Court at a later date.
