BUFFALO, NY-- Officials at Rich Products are trying to track down all of the schools nationwide that may have received the recently recalled frozen products.

The New York State Health Department is investigating four cases statewide of e.Coli sickness that may be connected to a recall of certain Farm Rich brand frozen food products. One of those cases is in Western New York.

A company spokesman tells 2 On Your Side that less than 10% of the recalled products went to schools, and that the items they would have received are not connected to the e.coli outbreak but were recalled out of an abundance of caution.

Some WNY school districts and three local private schools were affected by the recall.  They are:

• Akron Central Schools
• Amherst Central Schools
• Depew Schools
• Frontier Schools
• Queen of Heaven School
• St. John The Baptist School
• St. Mary of The Lake School
• Sweet Home Central Schools

Frontier Schools says they did not purchase any of the recalled items this school year.  They were on the recall list because they had purchased items in 2011, which they no longer have in stock.

The spokesperson says the products sold to schools were part of the expanded recall that was done out of an abundance of caution.
