BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The family of bullied suicide victim Jamey Rodemeyer plans to present an award in his honor.
Jamey's family will be at Buffalo's Lorraine Elementary school Friday to announce the "Jamey Rodemeyer Anti-Bully Award."
The school says the award will be presented to four Lorraine students during its first annual Bully Free 5K on May 18.
Rodemeyer, from the Buffalo suburb of Amherst, committed suicide in September 2011 after blogging about being bullied because of his sexuality.
He was 14 years old.
