BUFFALO, NY - A stand-off between a person wanted on a warrant and Buffalo Police officers ended without incident at about 8:50 p.m. Sunday in Black Rock.

According to Buffalo Police Spokesperson Mike DeGeorge, police officers were in pursuit of a warrant suspect just after 4:30 p.m. when the person fled into a house on Germain Street, near the intersection of Amherst and Grant streets. The stand-off began when police officers learned there may have been weapons in the house.

A witness told 2 On Your Side that neighboring houses were evacuated during the incident and a helicopter was involved in the search.

Buffalo S.W.A.T. was called in, but the incident ended just before 9 p.m. when three individuals were taken into custody without incident, DeGeorge said. Weapons recovered from the scene include an AK-47 rifle and a shotgun.

He said more information would be released as it becomes available.
