Buffalo, NY - Sometimes there just aren't words to explain an experience.

Andre Martinelli of Buffalo, NY served in the Marines during the Vietnam War and does not talk much about it. But during this week when the nation celebrates its independence, he was willing to talk about his garden.

It's a small tribute to veterans.  Surrounded by bricks that he painted red, white and blue, there are flowers and flags.  A few black bricks and a flag remind people of the prisoners of war.  A butterfly symbolizes those who have died.

Martinelli wanted to remember his friends who were also Marines and died in the last year, while simply saying thank you to all veterans for fighting for our freedoms.

He plans to keep adding to his new garden to salute veterans with each detail without saying a word.
