BUFFALO, NY-- The $25 million dollar Hamister Hotel project-- and all the controversy and political in-fighting surrounding the two month delay in moving it forward-- became a central issue in yesterday's Primary Election.

Developer Mark Hamister went on camera for the first time since July-- and spoke exclusively with Two On Your Side's Maryalice Demler this afternoon-- in a no-holds barred interview that you will only see on Channel 2.

Hamister talks candidly and passionately about his entire experience dealing with Empire State Development/USA Niagara, the Niagara Falls City Council and the role Governor Cuomo played in convincing him to keep the deal alive.

And he didn't pull any punches about that notorious mailer that portrayed him as a "con man".

"What were your feelings when you laid eyes on that?" asked Demler.

"It was despicable. I was extremely upset. I find that politics of personal destruction to be the most distasteful thing that goes on in our country and in our communities today," Hamister said.

"And I think it is one of the most virulent, objectionable things that others engage in, that in effect hold us back as a community," he added.

Watch the complete, unedited, 30 minute conversation between developer Mark Hamister and Two On Your Side's Maryalice Demler.
