BUFFALO, NY - The memory of a 14-year-old girl is front and center in Pembroke as the youth association receives a donated A.E.D. from the Emily Rose Memorial Fund.
Emily collapsed four years ago on a soccer field in Akron after a sudden cardiac arrest during practice while no A.E.D. or EMT were present. Her mom Annette has been on a mission ever since to make sure this never happens again. This A.E.D. will ensure that the teams are prepared and have the opportunity to administer CPR if it is ever needed.
Every year the memorial fund has a fundraiser and they look for those organizations that have a need, and it just so happened Pembroke reached out to the memorial fund. It was a match made in heaven!
