BUFFALO, NY - Earlier this week, Uniland Development Company and Delaware North Corporation (DNC) applied to the Erie County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) for a sales tax abatement and other incentives for a new office building and hotel complex at 250 Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo, currently the site of the historic Delaware Court Building.

On Sunday, the ECIDA announced that Uniland and Delaware North have asked the agency to table their application. Plans call for demolition of the Delaware Court Building and construction of a new building with 200,000 square feet of office space, a 120-room hotel and an adjoining parking ramp.

The ECIDA Policy Committee is going forward with a scheduled meeting of its policy committee Monday morning where we hope to learn more about the status of the Uniland/DNC project.

Delaware North issued this statement on Monday:

"Delaware North Companies is aware of, and supports, Uniland's request for the ECIDA Policy Committee to postpone its hearing on incentives for the proposed development project at 250 Delaware Ave. to allow for additional review."
