ORCHARD PARK, NY - Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams spoke with reporters on Monday for the first time since it was revealed that Williams sent text messages to his ex-fiance saying he had suicidal thoughts.
On Monday, Williams told reporters that was not the case.
"I never had suicidal thoughts," said Williams. "If I thought it was serious I would have dealt with it at the time.'
Williams is suing his ex-fiance in order to get a $785,000 engagement ring back. As part of the dispute, the attorney for Erin Marzouki released text messages that Williams allegedly sent in November of 2012, talking about drug use (hydrocodones) and thoughts of suicide.
Williams also told reporters on Monday that everything (medication) he takes is prescribed for him by the Bills.
