(Bisons.com) The Bisons started the scoring Saturday night when Valentino Pascucci singled in Luis Figueroa, but that would be the only run the Herd scored. Pawtucket took a one run lead in the second inning and then added four more runs to beat the Bisons 11-1 at McCoy Stadium.
Figueroa doubled on a ground ball to right field to lead off the first inning and became Pascucci's 78th RBI of the 2011 season. Pascucci is three RBI behind Jorge Vazquez of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees who holds the International League lead with 81 RBI.
After the first inning the Herd's offense was dormant as Pawtucket pounded out four runs against Pat Misch. He struck out six Red Sox's through 5.2 innings but gave up eight hits, four walks and one home run.
The home run was a two run shot to right field off the bat of Brent Dlugach in the second inning. It's only the second home run that Misch has given up in 29.6 innings in four starts since the All-Star break. The last home run Misch gave up a home run was on July 26 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Pawtucket added seven more runs against Gustavo Chacin including a grand slam to Lars Anderson giving the Red Sox's a 10 run lead. The seven runs bumped Chacin's earned run average to 24.16 in six starts with the Herd.
Josh Satin drove a double into right field to lead off the ninth inning and push his hit streak to a team leading 13-games.
