Englewood, CO (Sports Network) - The Denver Broncos added some additional experience to their secondary on Wednesday, coming to terms with cornerback Quentin Jammer on an undisclosed contract.

Jammer comes to the Broncos after spending the first 11 seasons of his pro career with AFC West-rival San Diego, where he started 161 games and racked up 21 interceptions, 130 passes defensed and seven forced fumbles.

The No. 5 overall pick in the 2002 draft recorded 64 tackles and three interceptions, including one of Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning that he returned 80 yards for a touchdown in October, while starting all 16 games last season.

Jammer, who turns 34 in June, joins ex-Eagle Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie as newcomers to a Denver defensive backfield that also contains another seasoned player in 12-time Pro Bowl selection Champ Bailey.

The Texas product is the third former Charger to join the Broncos this offseason, along with guard Louis Vasquez and outside linebacker Shaun Phillips.
