BUFFALO, NY-- Buffalo police have arrested a Buffalo man for claiming to be a Buffalo police detective and a federal agent.
Investigators say the city's surveillance cameras led them to the suspect.
Officers arrested Richard McCaul, 59, and charged him with harassment, criminal impersonation of a police officer, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Officials say McCaul claimed to be a Buffalo police detective while harassing a man Sunday morning at approximately 6am on Pearl Street.
McCaul was arrested on Lemon Street after he apparently approached another individual on his porch, claiming to be a federal agent, pulled out a knife and threatened to kill him.
