One Up and One Down For Williamsville Hockey

Two Williamsville hockey programs played for New York State Championships Sunday. Williamsville North played for the Division I title and Williamsville East played for the Division II small school title.

Bob Rosen's Spartans won the large school title. Williamsville North beat Saratoga 3-to-2. Brad Ferrell got the game winning goal 2:30 into the third period. Record setting goaltender Parker Gahagen made 22 saves for North. Scott Sims and Jeff McAndrews got the other goals for the Spartans.

Williamsville East had a tough day. The Flames lost to Cazenovia 6 to 2. Mike Sarcinelli scored both goals for East. Flames goalie  Tucker Weppner stopped 28 Lakers shots.
