Researchers say they've discovered a link between occasional migraine headaches ... and weight.
Previous studies have shown that obese people are more prone to suffer from chronic migraines ... but there were conflicting results when it came to those with less frequent headaches.
However, a new study found obese people were 81-percent more likely to have episodic migraine compared to people of normal weight.
The link between obesity and migraine was stronger among those under the age of 50.
Researchers say doctors should encourage healthy diet and exercise for those with episodic migraine -- but say more studies are needed to see if weight loss can help decrease symptoms.
