(bisons.com)-Rochester's Wilkin Ramirez homered and drove in four runs to guide his Red Wings teammates to a 6-1 over the Bisons on Monday night at Coca-Cola Field.
The Herd will wrap up the home portion of the 2012 season with Tuesday's Fan Appreciation Night a 6:05 p.m.
Ramirez's swings in the third and eighth innings were the two biggest of the evening. With Rochester holding a 1-0 lead, the Red Wings' outfielder hit a bases-loaded triple to deep right-center off Herd starter, Jenrry Mejia. In his last at-bat of the game, Ramirez crushed a solo home into the netting for his 13th blast of the season.
The Bisons weren't without chances in this game. The club put two or more runners on base in six of the nine innings, but hit an inning-ending double play in four straight frames from the 4th to the 7th.
Buffalo also had the bases loaded and no outs in the eighth inning but didn't tally in the inning. The Herd went 1-11 with runners in scoring position.
The Bisons scored their lone run in the fourth inning on Matt Tuiasosopo's RBI-single to plate Zach Lutz. Lutz went 3-4 with two doubles in the game.
