NEW YORK, NY - It appears that some progress, however slight, might have been made in Tuesday's marathon talks between the NHL players and owners.

Owners and players were still meeting late Tuesday night. The meetings took place without NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA head Donald Fehr.

Wednesday is day 81 of the lockout. Games have been cancelled through the 14th of this month.
