BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard is warning that ice in the area of Buffalo's Outer Harbor will be unsafe because of icebreaking operations this weekend to clear the way for a cargo ship.

It says the work is scheduled for Sunday in the harbor and the Southern Approach Channel.

The Algoma Enterprise is heading to the Port of Buffalo in Lackawanna by way of the channel from Lake Erie.

It's scheduled to arrive early Sunday morning and stay about 12 hours.
