BUFFALO, NY - It looks like an Allegany County man's long-running attempt to wrangle money from Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in court may have reached the end of the road.
A federal judge has granted the defendant's motion to dismiss Paul Ceglia's lawsuit claiming that Zuckerberg had promised him 50 percent of what would later become the world's largest social media company.
The suit maintained that the promise was made in exchange for work Ceglia did for Zuckerberg when Zuckerberg was a student at Harvard in 2003. In the ruling, United States Magistrate Judge Leslie G. Foschio called the contract Ceglia produced as evidence of his claim "a recently created fabrication."
Ceglia has gone through at least five different sets of attorneys since he filed the lawsuit against Zuckerberg in 2010.
