WARSAW, NY - A village of Perry resident is charged under the state's Environmental Conservation Law after State Police discovered a Burmese Python inside his home.
The python is considered a dangerous constrictor snake and it is illegal to possess one in New York State.
Darrell Alan Boyd, 39, of South Main Street was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Village Court in May.
The snake was safely removed from Boyd's home by officers with the Department of Environmental Conservation.
